Masjid 2

Holy chamber of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Hujrah (the holy or sacred chamber) is place of the last residence and death of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) which is located just outside main masjid and has a golden coloured vault in front of it. It was initially house of His most favourite and beloved wife Hazrat Aisha (R.A) at that time. Inside section, the Prophet (PBUH) and His companions Hazrat Umar (R.A) and Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.A) are resting in peace.

Mimbar of the Prophet (PBUH)

The place where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to deliver lecture or sermon to His Muslim brothers has great history and significance. There was no concept of a particular place for Khateeb (addresser) at that period. Mimbar (pulpit) was made and got a very important rank in masjid.

Ajar (blessing) of namaz

Masjid-e-Nabwi is considered as one of the most important mosques in religion f peace Islam. According to one Hadith, praying in this masjid guarantees extra-ordinary return and reward for the Muslims.

The amount of blessings that a person could get by performing namaz here is one thousand times that of praying in any other masjid with the exception of Khana Kaaba.

Garden of Abu Talha

When ALLAH Almighty revealed the following verse (ayah) 3:92 of Holy Quran:

Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of ALLAH] from that which you love. And whatever you spend – indeed, ALLAH knows of it.

After reading Ayah kareema (verse), Abu Talha (R.A) presented his garden named “Bir Ha” for the sake of ALLAH’S blessings, and that area became part of

Masjid-e-Nabawi. Such is the beauty and attractiveness of this masjid that there is a lesson for everybody in the shape of this garden that we must spend everything in the way of The ALLAH Almighty without any kind of hesitation.

Therefore, the mosque of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), i.e. known as

Masjid-e-Nabwi is one of the greatest masjid in the history of Islam, which has laid the basics for Muslims to not just pray and study about the teachings of

ALLAH Almighty, but also preach it to others people.

Present mosque is larger than original

The current masjid is more than hundred times the size of the original structure. This means that the present masjid covers almost the whole area of the old city itself.

Riyadh-ul-Jannah

Another great element of Masjid-e-Nabwi which is about 22 meters in length and 15 meters in width, with few part of it located inside chamber of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The high importance of Riyadh-ul-Jannah is too much that it is called a garden same to those ones present in jannah (paradise), so it means visiting this spot and offering namaz in it is just like someone is in jannah (heaven).
